Abstract
Oral immunotherapy (OIT) is an emerging therapeutic approach for food allergy, but there are limited safety and efficacy data for baked egg (BE) and baked milk (BM) OIT.1 Most children naturally outgrow egg and milk allergies, and most are able to tolerate baked forms of these foods, which may accelerate allergy resolution when these foods are eaten on a regular basis.2-4 The rate of resolution of egg allergy is 49% by age 6 years and 68% by age 16 years.2,5 For milk allergy, the resolution rate is between 42% and 85% at age 8 years in North American and European cohort studies.
