Abstract
In this paper, Deery et al1 report on an uncommonly used patient-centered outcomes measure after revascularization in diabetic patients with chronic limb-threatening ischemia, noting that patient-centered outcomes were lower than traditional outcomes. This is hardly surprising because patient priorities and definition of “success” have not always aligned with the clinical definition of “success.” Physician-centered or lesion-centered outcomes have usually taken priority.
