Abstract
<p indent=0mm>The grant application and funding of special funds for the research on national major research instruments related to the division of catalysis and surface/interface chemistry of the Department of Chemical Sciences of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as the development objectives, instrument composition and application fields of the approved projects are summarized. Based on them, some suggestions on the grant application and management are put forward.
