Abstract

The grid-side converter (GSC) of the permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) based on wind farms (WF) has an important impact on the subsynchronous interaction (SSI). This paper mainly analyzes the SSI mechanism of the GSC of the PMSG based on WF. The modeling process and the eigenvalue analysis of PMSG based on WF are presented. The influence of GSC controllers on the SSI of the WF is investigated by eigenvalue analysis. Furthermore, the time domain simulation is presented to verify that the GSC controller have a great influence on the SSI characteristics between GSC and AC network.
