Abstract

A symposium on the coupling of geochemical and hydrologic models for subsurface solute transport was held as part of the AGU Hydrology Section at the 1985 AGU Spring Meeting in Baltimore, Md. Its purpose was to bring together scientists and engineers to address various aspects of this relatively new research area. The symposium came about in response to the common interest of modelers of comparatively diverse pedagological backgrounds, including porous media physicists, colloid and soil chemists, and applied mathematicians, to problems in multiphase and multicomponent solute transport. In all, 21 invited and contributed papers were presented.
