Abstract

This focus article briefly describes membrane-based technology developed by Toray Industries Inc that is targeted at applications in the food and beverage sector and for use in biotechnology processes. The Japanese company says that it is capable of substantially reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in these industry sectors and applications.
