Abstract
The concept of substantial similarity plays a major role in determining the original authorship of any work. A number of tests have evolved over the years, through judicial pronouncements, to determine how far a particular work is/is not substantially similar to a previously authored work. The following article gives a comprehensive study of such various tests.
