Abstract
A submucosal frenotomy surgical technique is presented for correction of the hypertrophic maxillary frenum. This technique is based upon the principles of preservation of mucous membrane and elimination of any potential dead space. Excellent long-range results have been achieved in more than forty patients during the past 2 years.
