Abstract

Dendritic cells (DCs) are capable of generating anti-tumor immunity. Submucosal DCs (subDCs), an immature DC subtype, detect invading pathogens and activate immune responses. Interestingly, the subDC infiltration changes along the potentially malignant disorder (PMD) to squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) sequence are not known.
