Abstract

The submission was divided into three sections: 1. The inadequacies of the Gordon River Stage Two Report as regards Aboriginal archaeological remains of the region. 2. A brief account of new archaeological discoveries made in the Gordon-Franklin Rivers region during 1981, and an assessment of their significance. 3. An argument based on prehistoric and environmental data supporting a World Heritage status for Southwest Tasmania.
