Abstract

Allergen immunotherapy (AIT) in food allergy is used to induce tolerance. In peach allergy, dendrimeric nanosystems including Pru p 3 peptides and mannose adjuvants (D1ManPrup3) trigger tolerant or desensitization responses depending on the dose, as previously demonstrated. Although AIT outcome may influence epigenetic changes, no previous studies have addressed this question. We aimed to investigate DNA methylation and their long-term effect on gene expression during AIT in a model of peach anaphylaxis.
