Abstract

AbstractFluorescence microscope image of double immunhistochemistry for the detection of tyrosine hydroxylase (green) and the transcription factor Nkx2.1 (red) in a transverse section through the hypothalamus of the turtle, Pseudemys scripta. The catecholaminergic neurons in the suprachiasmatic nucleus are revealed by its content in tyrosine hydroxylase, whereas Nkx2.1 labels the ventricular and subventricular zones of this hypothalamic region.
