Abstract

Summary 1.A case of subcutaneous fat necrosis in association with pancreatitis, portal cirrhosis and cholelithiasis, is reported. 2.The extreme rarity of this condition is commented upon. It is possible that subcutaneous fat necrosis is another cutaneous manifestation of pancreatic disease, such as livedo reticularis and the Grey-Turner sign, which might be noted more frequently if a more thorough search were made.
