Abstract

The finite difference method is used to analyze the stability of a binary mixture with anomalous thermodiffusion relative to perturbations of finite amplitude. In the region of monotonic instability, subcritical motions are detected. The amplitude curves, the limits of main-flow stability relative to the most dangerous perturbations, and the stream function, temperature and concentration isolines are obtained.
