Abstract

A novel triangular TLM node containing a sub-cell sized wire of arbitrary radius for incorporation into an unstructured 2D TLM algorithm is presented. The wire-node formulation is based upon the mapping between the total field at the cell boundary and exact modal field expansions around the wire. The integration of the wire node into an unstructured 2D TLM algorithm provides a flexible package for modelling fine-features in proximity to complex structures.
