Abstract
Since the twenty-first century, subaltern writing in Chinese avant-garde theater has become more prominent, embodied in a subaltern consciousness, subaltern themes, and subaltern discourse. The notion of subaltern writing reflects a kind of divine calling and responsibility on the part of avant-garde theater practitioners.
