Abstract
Post ERCP pancreatitis (PEP) can be as high as 30% in high-risk patients. Prophylactic pancreatic duct (PD) stent placement has been shown to decrease the risk of PEP in high-risk patients. The aim of our study is to investigate if the risk of PEP is reduced with earlier placement of prophylactic PD stent following PD cannulation or injection in high-risk patient population.
