Abstract
Polypectomy is a standard method for removal of colonic pedunculated polyp. Postpolypectomy bleeding is the most common complication in this polyp and bleeding rate is much higher than other morphological polyp. However, only limited data is available regarding endoscopic and patient’s characteristics related with postpolypectomy bleeding in this polyp. Furthermore, although prophylactic closure of polypectomy sites with clips or endoloop has rarely been studied to reduce postpolypectomy bleeding, effectiveness and safety for postpolypectomy syndrome are still not well known.
