Abstract
Confocal laser endomicroscopy (CLE) is a modern imaging technique that enables real time histology in vivo, during endoscopy, providing new insights of mucosal pathology. Monitoring histological activity to assess MH is important in evaluating the therapy response and management of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Our group has recently validated an endomicroscopic mucosal healing score (eIBD-MHs), which has to be interpreted by skilled endoscopists.
