Abstract

Resection of large (≥ 2cm) sessile colorectal polyps is associated with an increased risk of complications. We performed a retrospective assessment of the impact of prophylactic closure of polypectomy sites using Microvasive Resolution clips. There were 537 sessile colorectal polyps ≥ 2cm in size removed from 482 patients. We successfully completed follow up for complications by telephone after 30 days for 474 polyps. Mean age of the 420 patients with complete follow up was 67.4 years, mean polyp size 32.3mm, and 253 polyps were ≥ 3cm in size.
