Abstract

Endoscopic bilateral metal stenting is a rapidly evolving technique which allows the palliative treatment of malignant hilar obstruction including Klatskin tumor. But cholecystitis in patients with Klatskin tumor is bothersome event to patients and physicians. Biliary stent may be associated with cholecystitis for several reasons. The aim of this study to evaluate the prevalence and risk factors of cholecystitis after bilateral matal stent placement, especially in Klatskin tumor.
