ARA MATEVOSYAN - STYLISTIC FEATURES OF THE ARABIC DIPLOMATIC SUBSTYLE The article is devoted to the main characteristics and features of Arabic diplomatic substyle. It reveals the linguistic specificity of Arabic diplomatic documents. The article discusses the defining features of the functional style, its varieties and the criteria for differentiating the substyles of the official business style. The characteristics common to all substyles of the language of business communication such as stability, tradition, isolation and standardization, lack of ambiguity, certain topics, speech regulation are considered. The use of clichés, nomenclature names, professional terminology, solemn vocabulary, language stamps, etc. stands out among the lexical features of Arabic diplomatic substyle. On morphological level, there are verbal nouns, the use of "we-approach", and the absence of abbreviations. Arab diplomatic documents are characterized by the use of cliché- metaphors, metonymy, personification, phraseological phrases, and epithets. On syntactic level, this substyle is characterized by conditional sentences, declarative constructions, description, reasoning, and the use of nominative constructions with enumerations. Moreover, Arabic diplomatic documents also differ in their structure.
