Abstract

Summary 1.A case of Sturge-Weber syndrome in an 8-year-old Negro girl is reported. The most salient feature is the skull roentgenogram which shows marked calcification in the cortex of the left occipital and parietal lobes and a portion of the temporal lobe. 2.The incidence and the location of the cerebral calcification are discussed briefly. It is emphasized that diligent efforts should be made to control the convulsions by drugs and that cerebral hemispherectomy should be considered only in those cases refractory to such therapy.
