Abstract

Discussed are the results of studying the variations of atmospheric electricity in the areas of oil deposits and underground gas storages. Measurements were carried out in different regions of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. The analysis of results demonstrated the prospective success of applying the methods and instruments of atmospheric electric measurements for the operational detection and investigation of hydrocarbon accumulations.
