Studying the Traffic Flow between a Modeled and a Real IP Network

Abstract

The paper presents the work in collaboration of a virtual IP network and a real IP network. A connection between the virtual network and the Internet via the real IP network has been created. The traffic flow exchanged between the two networks has been studied. Survey of the data flow between the two networks is done by using standard IP network monitoring tools. For the purpose of the study a VoIP connection is established between a subscriber in the virtual network and a subscriber in the real network. Additionally, Internet browsing from the virtual network is realized.
