Research Article| August 01 2014 Studying the Lied:Hermeneutic Traditions and the Challenge of Performance Jennifer Ronyak, Jennifer Ronyak Convenor Jennifer Ronyak is Assistant Professor of Musicology at the University of Texas at Arlington. Her work on the German lied has been published in 19th-Century Music and the Jahrbuch Musik und Gender. She is currently completing a monograph on the problem of intimate expression in relationship to salon and concert performances of lieder at the start of the nineteenth century.
