Abstract

The article presents results of research on aluminum alloy rod ingots deformed on a lever-type radial forging machine, which was done to evaluate the influence of process parameters on the damage of the material. The research includes the design of a mathematical model of the deformation zone during radial forging on this machine type, which allows one to determine the stress-strain state of the ingot during forming and also to determine experimentally the physical-mechanical properties of the material after deformation on a lever-type radial forging machine with various reduction values. The data obtained by the theoretical and experimental approaches coincide and indicate the optimum values of the process parameters of forging on a lever-type radial forging machine, which lead to the healing of defects appearing during the plastic deformation of the material.
