Abstract
The structure of the neutron-rich Gadolinium (Gd) isotopes of mass region around A =154-160 have been studied theoretically using the framework of the interacting boson model IBM-2. However, the mixed symmetry states (MSS) in even-even Gd is the main objective of this work. The model calculations gave a best fit with experimental results for energy levels. It is found that the energy of states (23, 24,25, 32 and 11) were replied rapidly to the variation of Majorana parameters in Gd isotopes which indicates the special property of the blended symmetry state. The calculations harvested levels and electromagnetic transitions in decent happenstance with experimental results.
