Abstract

Recently, nanoparticles have been widely studied because of their efficient characteristics and wide range of applications. This paper aims to study the effects of exposure to gamma radiation on nanoparticles of magnesium oxide (Nano MgO). Different percentage weights 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% are used to prepare the templates. Many steps of image process procedure are applied for texture analysis. Range value, standard deviation value and entropy value are measure before and after gamma radiation exposure. The obtained results indicated that the samples of percentage weights 2% and 4% are more affected via gamma radiation exposure. On the other hand, the samples of percentage weights 6% and 8% are less affected via gamma radiation exposure.
