Abstract

In the general access control system, it is convenient of the utilization of a key or identification badges such as the PIN (Personal Identification Number) code for identifying particulars, but some shortcomings still exists, the biggest risk is that the PIN code are easily acquired by criminals, keys or identification card are lost or forged may already lead to security problems; therefore, it is promising to combined the biometrics with other types of authentication methods as new alternative security mechanism. The embedded security identification products on the market are very popular. For the purpose of higher security level, this study joins the electromechanical lock and different types of biometrics technology together in the access control design application, to achieve the dual-mode identify mechanism. Meanwhile, in order to achieve the enhancing security level, the grey decision-making mode is used to assist the design of the access control security system with the factors of security, economy and convenience and life duration.
