Abstract

Could a mental health field that remains so dependent on subjective assessments be moving closer to having a tool comparable to an X‐ray for capturing baseline status and monitoring progress? Results of a newly published study suggest that analysis of individuals' speech and facial movement holds significant promise for creating a more objective approach to psychiatric diagnosis and treatment.
