Abstract

Rajasthani and Marwari folk tales are rich cultural repositories that provide valuable insights into the societal norms, beliefs, and values of the region. This paper aims to investigate the position of women in Rajasthani or Marwari folk tales, shedding light on their roles, representation, and significance within these narratives. By analyzing a diverse range of folk tales, this study aims to uncover the portrayal of women and explore the dynamics of gender relationships in Rajasthani and Marwari folklore. Through a comprehensive examination of these narratives, this research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the cultural fabric and social dynamics prevalent in Rajasthan and Marwar.
