Abstract

Vibration and noise are the important factors to limit the transmission performance of the silent chain. In order to improve the vibration and noise characteristics of the silent chain system during the operation, the multi-platform jointed analysis method is applied to research the vibration and noise radiation of the rounded-jointed silent chain system. By building the three-dimensional model of rounded-jointed silent chain system, the vibration response analysis is performed to obtain the resonanceparameters and structural deficiencies of the rounded-jointed silent chain system. On the basis of the vibration response analysis of the silent chain system, the acoustic radiation analysis is performed to obtain the main noise occurrence frequency and the location of the noise source, and the results are consistent with the vibration response analysis. This study provides an important basis for reducing the vibration and noise of the silent chain system and improving the overall performance of the silent chain system.
