Abstract

To detect the buried ruins and relics at shallow depths, we proposed an underground imaging using shear waves and a method based on the stacking of reflected scattered waves. In this method, point reflection is assumed. Up to now, geophones were arranged in a straight line on the ground, and we considered a vertical section image just below a measurement line. In order to consider 3 dimensions of an underground image, geophones were arranged in a plane and 3 targets were buried at different depths. We tried to detect these targets using horizontal section images. From the experimental results, we understood to be able to find the buried targets, however improvements are necessary to making a 3 dimensional image.
