Abstract

At present, most non-ferrous metal mines treat Mineral Processing Wastewater by natural degradation of tailings pond. Some residual mineral processing agents were decomposed after the waste water passed through the tailings pond, but a large number of mineral processing agents remained in the water quality could not meet the discharge standard requirements. Conventional oxidation process has disadvantages of large dosage and high cost. In this study, ozone composite catalytic oxidation method was used to treat COD of mineral processing wastewater. According to the experimental results, when the dosage of homogeneous catalyst Mn2+ was 2mg/L, the volume ratio of heterogeneous catalyst dosage wastewater and KYO-1 catalyst was 3:1, and the dosage of ozone was 20mg/L, COD of wastewater after oxidation decreased from 155 to 35mg/L.It meets the discharge standard and the operation cost is about 0.8 yuan/ton of water.
