Abstract

GIS is widely used in the field because of its high reliability, but once a fault occurred which will lead to huge economic losses. So lots of researches nowadays focus on the fault of GIS. But a number of those researches is about the discharge fault, so this paper study the vibration characteristics of mechanical failure by analyzing the signals on different states. This paper firstly developed a GIS vibration test system named GVTS to get the vibration signal. Then this paper got the vibration signal on the housing of 110kV GIS's vertical bus, when loosening the different number of bolts on flange and adjusting the different amplitude of alternating current. By analyzing these signal, finally, this paper gets these result: firstly 500Hz and 600Hz, with no failure, have two maximum energy in frequency domain and loosening bolts on flange make the amplitude of 400Hz, 800Hz, 1400Hz and 1600Hz in frequency domain rise to almost equal to the amplitude of 500Hz and 600Hz. Secondly the amplitude of signal rise in the time-domain when loosening the bolts on flange. The results of this paper provide data support for the on-site testing of GIS vibration and fault diagnosis of mechanical faults.
