Abstract

It is necessary to do some research on the vibration characteristics of a horizontal centrifugal casting machine for producing furnace tubes since it has significant influence on the final quality of the products. In this paper, vibration characteristics of a roller-supporting horizontal centrifugal casting machine are analysed with transfer matrix method, including critical speeds and unbalance response. The results show that the distribution of the eccentric masses has significant influence on unbalance response. The model established and the results obtained in this paper will be useful for furnace tubes quality improvement.
