Abstract

As is well known the accuracy and credibility of partial discharge measurement might be influenced seriously by surrounding interference. Using the technique of ultra-wideband partial discharge detection, we have studied the characteristics of some typical period interference and random interferences, including brush discharge interference, operating high-voltage interference, operating computer interference, rectifier interference and so on. The experimental results that the characteristics of these interferences can be distinguished either in time-domain or in frequency-domain, particularly, based on the characteristic frequency peak and the shape of characteristic peak by using digital analysis technique. It is helpful for the development of the insulation diagnosis technique.
