Abstract
Turret feeding servo system is the connecting link of a servo motor and a linear motion unit. Studying the static performance and the dynamic performance of the feeding servo system plays a key role in precision finishing and it also is the key technology to realize the high precise CNC lathe. This article builds several mathematical models for the driving part, the speed governing part, the mechanical transmitting part and the feeding part of the feeding servo system using permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and then simulates the system with Simulink so as to verify the mathematical models; optimize the servo system by combining the traditional PID control with the fuzzy control and finally, compare and analyze the system performances under several control methods, which may provide references for designing a feeding servo system.
