Abstract

With the development of the capacity of the high power rectifier equipment, higher demands were proposed for cooling system, such as greater reliance on safety and stability. Evaporative cooling system provides a new way to solve the cooling problem. It has successfully applied on many electrical equipment. But the self-circulating evaporative cooling system proposed for high power rectifier equipment has composite structure, which consists horizontal and vertical flow passages. It is different from the previous study. So in this paper, the steady-state performance of this system was studied using nonlinear theory. It may provide a theoretical basis for optimization design of the system with composite structure.
