Abstract

Establish a simulation model of 45 stations in an automobile mixed-model assembly line by Flexsim, and achieve three dimensional (3D) visual simulation for the assembly line process basically. Build up a simulation system of car mixed-model assembly line scheduling, simulate with taking minimum of assembly line station overload time and idle time as optimization goal and parts consumption balance as another optimization goal respectively, achieve optimization selection for variety car mixed-model sequencing. As increasing market competition and diversifying of customer demand, car manufacturers produce multi-variety and small batch production in mixed-model production line more and more, production scheduling problem becomes significant. When the market demand for personalized products changed greatly and needed to add new varieties, the traditional production requires a long time on-line trail assembly to determine the new production scheduling, which greatly affected the production efficiency. Automobile assembly line is a large discrete system, simulating to solve its scheduling problem can simplify assembly process, reduce production costs and increase productivity.
