Abstract

In deep mine, the geological environment and mechanical properties will be different from the shallow mining. Accordingly, the mine type will change from low gas mine to high gas mine or from non-impact mine to impact mine. Hence, rock burst and other dynamic disasters are likely to happen, which seriously threatens the safety and stability of coal mine. In this paper, by independent developed gas simulation experiment instrument, the impact tendency tests of coal under different gas pressures were conducted. Hence the influence of gas pressure on the uniaxial compressive strength, elastic energy index, impact energy index, and dynamic damage time could be determined. Above these four parameters, the effect of gas pressure on the impact tendency was confirmed. Finally, based on the relationship between gas and coal strength, the energy accumulation and dissipation characteristics under uniaxial compression and circulation loading of gassy coal were studied; the testing results shown that with the increase of gas pressure, the four parameters for dynamic tendency all present a tendency from strong to weak or from weak to no, which illustrates that gas reduces the dynamic tendency of coal specimen.
