Abstract

Objective To explore the quality of life (QOL) and its influencing factors in Yanbian Korean and Han nationality. Methods From February 2006 to January 2007, through cross-sectional survey method, 838 Yanbian Korean and Han nationality population were investigated by the Chinese version of the Medical Outcomes Study Short-Form 36-Item Health Survey (MOS SF-36). The QOL of Korean and Han nationality population were compared with group t-test, the analysis of influencing factors of QOL by using multiple linear regression analysis. Results The scores of overall, physical component summary,mental component summary of QOL of Yanbian Korean and Han nationality population were (75.77±15.72), (76.96±17.29), (74.57±17.02) and (75.80±16.11), (77.93±17.71), (73.67±16.94) respectively, the difference was not statistical significance. General health dimension had statistical significance (62.62±20.22,66.72±20.42,P <0.01). Multiple regression analysis indicated that the factors which influence the QOL for Yanbian Korean and Han nationality were different. Conclusion The common influencing factors of QOL for Korean and Han nationality were sex,low level education, bad eating habits, chronic history and less sleep time.However,the QOL of Korean nationality was related to smoking, the QOL of Han nationality were related to sleep habit, allergic history and body mass index.
