Abstract
This paper presents the influence factors that restrain the normal operation performance of ITER poloidal field converter, which includes grid voltage variations at 66 kV busbar, leakage inductance of converter transformer, and the range of firing angle, etc. To meet the requirement issued by ITER, the basic electrical parameter of converter transformer needs to be checked out to verify its capacity for full voltage output. An approach to determine the inductance of dc reactor in order to perform 12-pulse rectification is proposed. Experiments are performed based on prototype test to confirm the reasonability of theoretical analysis.
