Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to propose a MLD (mixed logical dynamical) model to predict the back bead width of pulsed GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding) process for varied welding speed. Variation of welding speed is considered as discrete input and the nonlinear welding process is approximated using piecewise linear models. An MLD model is then established for pulsed GTAW process with varied welding speed.
