Abstract

This paper proposes a spindle vector compensation method based on laser triangulation for the inclination measurement error of a laser on-machine measurement system. By using the fixed relationship between the calibration vector and the spindle vector, the laser’s axis vector and the surface’s normal vector coincide in the actual measurement by adjusting the spindle vector. The tilt measurement and calculation errors are compensated simultaneously using this spindle vector compensation method.
