Abstract

Urbanization in China has led to significant changes in the utilization of cultivated land. This paper aims to further understand the relationship between urban expansion and agricultural land intensity based on predecessors. The results show that there is a negative correlation between urban expansion and cultivated land utilization intensity. Per capita cultivated land area, industrial development, per capita output input ratio of cultivated land utilization intensity have a certain impact. The relationship between urban expansion and arable land means that as cities continue to expand, arable land is likely to expand, and the pressure on China’s natural land resources will remain great in the future.
