Abstract

Objective The School of Public Health of Wuhan University has carried out new public health personnel training model of , compound and since 2007. The aim of this paper is to study the effect of the reform of public health personnel training model, and further provide the factual basis and theoretical support for the new training model. Methods The research subjects are all 286 students in the school of public health of Wuhan University. A self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the degree of the students’activities on internationalization, compound, and practical innovative. and Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM), an environmental assessment scale (DREEM), was adopted to measure the students’ satisfaction degree of the educational environment. Results The overall score of DREEM is 128.49±22.00 with a scoring rating of 64.3%.The dimension with the highest scoring rate is perception of teachers. The dimension with the highest scoring rate is Academic self-perception. The range of scoring rate is 57.7%~72.1%. Students with a higher degree of internationalization (t=-4.496, P<0.001) and practice innovation (t=-2.964, P=0.004) activity participation get higher scores than the lower ones. The result of multiple linear regression indicates that family’s month-income (t=1.864, P=0.063) and degree of internationalization activity participation (t=3.299, P=0.001) are factors affecting the satisfaction for education environment. Conclusions It demonstrates that the new talent training model can improve the students; satisfaction degree for education environment and meet the requirement of public health under the background of globalization.
