Abstract

Formed by the stacking of solid waste from the coal industry emissions, the coal gangue dump brought about a series of ecological and environmental problems, such as the decrease of the quality of the air, surface water, groundwater and soil, ecosystem degradation, the losing of species diversity, the damage of landscape and the yield reduction of crops and so on. Therefore, the purpose of governance of coal gangue should be to reduce the pollution of the atmosphere, soil and water, and the effective way is through land reclamation to restore the using function of damaged land and mine ecological environment. Based on an deep analysis and summary to land reclamation of the mine waste land and the governance technology of coal gangue at home and abroad, the article used reforesting and baring coal gangue dump in Handan as research object to study contrastively the eco-environmental effects by applying theories of restoration ecology, meteorology, soil science, environmental studies, landscape ecology and using methods such as the field observation and lab experiments, thereby to provide reference for the afforestation and reclaimation of coal gangue. On this basis, it offered some suggestions to the governance of coal gangue dump.
