Abstract
Along with increasing in environmental awareness of society, more and more enterprises have been already aware of environmental factors as an important factor in its economic activities. They have to bring the environmental factors into its stratagem management and decision to keep on sustainable development. Steel Industry is as a high-energy, high-polluting industry in particular. Therefore, the study on environmental performance evaluation of steel companies not only has important practical significance and can provide a tool to the enterprise to show the effectiveness of environmental management. I hope that the research and study related to environmental performance of China's iron and steel enterprises can be useful to establish and improve the evaluation system.
